We will respond after studying Jayalalithaa's statement: EC

NEW DELHI, FEB. 3. The Election Commission today said it would respond to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa's recent statement that there were irregularities in the electoral rolls of her State and that she would challenge in the Supreme Court the outcome of last year's Lok Sabha polls there.

``We will obtain a copy of the exact statement and after that we will make our response to it,'' the Deputy Election Commissioner, A.N. Jha, told reporters. — UNI
