Fire in wastepaper godown

CHENNAI,
FEB. 3.
A fire broke out in a waste paper godown at Kodungaiyur this morning.
According to Meenakshi Vijayakumar, Divisional Officer, Fire and Rescue Services, Chennai North, the fire call was received by them around 9 a.m. Seven fire tenders and 18 Metrowater tankers were sent to Krishnamurthy Nagar where the godown is located.
The fire was brought under control in two hours, she said.
