Cool nights to continue

Nights will continue to be cool with the temperature on Friday expected to be around 15 degree Celsius. Clear sky has been forecast. Temperatures recorded on Thursday were a maximum of 29.6 degrees Celsius and minimum of 14.4 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was 42 per cent.

NTR Gardens closed today

NTR Gardens will be closed to the general public on Friday due to the visit of the delegates of the 13th All India Whips Conference.

Meditation classes

The YMCA Greater Hyderabad's Narayanaguda centre will conduct `Taichi', a moving meditation programme based on mental, physical and spiritual exercises developed in ancient China by Taoist priests. Classes will start from Friday and will be held from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. For details, call 27564670.

Cancer screening

The Indo-American Cancer Institute and Research Centre will organise free cancer screening on its premises on Friday, which is being observed as World Cancer Day. The screening, for which appointments can be fixed over phone number 23551235, will be from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a press release from the Institute.

Health check-up

Twenty police personnel in Charminar division of south zone have tested positive for diabetes during a check-up organised by Johnson and Johnson Company, which has offered to conduct free health check-up for the entire city police force. As many as 160 personnel underwent the health check-up on Thursday.
