CHENNAI, FEB. 5. The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Canada, home to more than 3.4 lakh people of Indian origin and having support groups such as the TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), Canada-India Business Council and Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, is seeking investments in the ICT (information and communication technology), biotechnology, media, entertainment, financial services and advanced manufacturing sectors. A delegation of business, government and legal fraternities, led by Karen Campbell, President of the Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance (GTMA), made presentations at a meeting organised here on Thursday by the Confederation of Indian Industry-Southern Region (CII-SR). They pointed out that the GTA was the fourth largest metropolitan region in Canada and close to the U.S. with access to 135 million customers.
