MUMBAI, FEB. 5. India's foreign exchange reserves grew by $291 million during the week ended January 28 to touch $129.720 billion. Foreign currency assets week also rose by $286 million to $123.719 billion, the Reserve Bank of India said in its weekly statistical supplement here today. Gold reserves and Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) remained static at $4.582 billion and $5 million respectively, the RBI said. India's Reserve Tranche Position (RTP) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) increased by $5 million to reach $1.414 billion, it said. Loans and advances to State governments were up by Rs. 222 crores at Rs. 3,435 crores while that to the Centre showed a nil balance. PTI
