Team Orion triumphs
MADURAI,
FEB. 5.
Orion team, Chennai, represented by S.R.C. Sekar, N.R. Kirubakaramurthy, R.N. Subramanian, T. Narayana Iyer and V.R. Veerappa won the team-of-four event with a tally of 93 V.P.s on the second day of the three-day 18th annual R. Ratnam and Dr. T. Subramaniam memorial TNBA State Bridge championship, organised by the Madurai District Bridge Association at the P.T.R. Hall here on Saturday.
Ningiah team, Bangalore represented by Ningiah, B.K. Sathyan, P. Rajeev, Bhaskar Anand, Kulkarni and Durga Das finished runner-up with 86 V.P.s.
Other placings: 3. Kirish, Chennai, 83 V.P.s; 4. Riyan's Express, Chennai, 72 V.P.s; 5. Chitra, Trichy, 59 V.P.s; 6. Boaz, Chennai, 54 V.P.s.
