Committee to monitor pipeline projects

JAIPUR, FEB. 5. The Rajasthan Government has appointed a standing committee for monitoring and facilitating various clearances for a proposed pipeline project to be commissioned by the Gas Transportation and Infrastructure Company Limited (GTIL) in the State.

The committee, to be headed by the Principal Secretary, Industries Department, will look after various clearances for pipeline projects to be implemented in future as well.

An official release stated here today that the committee, besides monitoring the progress of the projects, would obtain permission and no objection certificates from various departments of the State Government for laying of pipelines.

The members of the committee include Secretaries of Forest and Irrigation Departments, Jaipur Divisional Commissioner, and the Chief Engineer, North-Western Railway. The Industries Department will function as the committee's administrative department.
