Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, FEB. 5. The sky will be partly cloudy on Sunday with minimum temperature around 21 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum of 30.5 degrees and a minimum of 21.7 degree Celsius. Meenambakkam registered a maximum of 30.4 degree Celsius and a minimum of 21.6 degrees. The humidity was 71 per cent and 76 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended in parts of Kilpauk on Monday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. due to maintenance work.

Eye camp

Rajan Eye Care Hospital and Loyola Outreach Programme jointly organised an eye screening camp for school children at Sankarapuram Corporation School in Choolaimedu on Tuesday. More than 500 children were screened, of whom 30 were advised for treatment.

Donation camp

More than 130 persons donated blood at a camp organised by SMILE, a voluntary organisation, at the Presidency College on Tuesday.

Over 100 persons donated blood at a camp jointly organised by the national service scheme volunteers of Bharat Institute of Higher Education, Tambaram and Sri Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Chromepet on Monday.

Model exam

Plus II students from various schools in Tiruvallur and Arakonnam took a model public examination conducted by L.C.R. College of Engineering and Technology near Kanagammachatram recently.
