Mahabaleshwar Sail to preside over Konkani meet

KARWAR,
FEB. 6.
Mahabaleshwar Sail, Konkani novelist and Kendra Sahitya Academy Award winner, has been nominated as president of 17th Akhila Bharata Konkani Sahitya Sammelan.
The literary meet will be held in Kumta on February 19 and 20. Mr. Sail, who hails from Majali village near here, served in the army before beginning his literary career.
Mr. Sail, who lives in Goa, has many novels and short stores to his credit. Kalinganga, Aranya Kanda, YWG Sansar and Khol Khol Mula are some of his works which are not only popular but also critically acclaim.
