Doctors, engineers in queue for constable posts

THANE, MAHARASHTRA, FEB. 6. When aspirants line up for interviews for filling 300 vacancies of police constables in Thane Commissionerate, doctors, besides engineers will be seen in the queue tomorrow.

The DCP (Zone-I), Madhukar Pandey, said around 80,000 applications had been received for the posts.

The candidates included around 20 doctors, a large number of engineers and graduates.

Mr. Pandey said that unlike previous occasions this time a new system had been evolved.

On the first day, the candidates would be allotted the date and time of their actual interview thereby avoiding endless wait for the candidates.

The interview may go on for three to four months. — UNI
