VIJAYAWADA, FEB. 6. A four-member armed gang of dacoits struck at a petrol pump at Chilakallu village near Jaggayyapet in the early hours on Sunday and decamped with Rs. 60,000 cash. According to information reaching here, the gang members, with their faces covered with masks, entered Shriram Petrol pump at about 3.30 a.m. and threatened the cashier and other staff members with deadly weapons. They reportedly took away the Rs. 60,000 cash available with the staff and fled. The miscreants reportedly identified themselves as members of the `CPI (ML) Adivasi Dalam, Madhira Command' in a note they left behind. Senior police officials and the CLUES teams rushed to the spot on receipt of information.
