ISLAMABAD, FEB. 7. Pakistan today dismissed as "baseless and highly speculative" a report in the Time magazine that the U.S. is investigating the possibility of A.Q. Khan having sold nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia and that some uranium hexafluride gas cylinders could be missing. The Information and Broadcasting Minister, Sheikh Rashid, accused vested interests of indulging in a disinformation campaign against Pakistan and said all the nuclear material was accounted for and safe. The Foreign Office maintained that the report was a rehash of speculative reports on the issue. He said the internal probe into the A.Q. Khan affair was not closed and it was willing to look into any "fresh leads."
