Naidu asks MLAs to raise Paritala murder in House
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 7.
The Telugu Desam Party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated a two-day workshop for the party MLAs ahead of the budget session of Assembly, here on Monday by expressing anguish at the killing of Penukonda MLA, Paritala Ravindra.
Mr. Naidu regretted that the party could not save his life despite its best efforts to strengthen his security. He urged the MLAs to raise Ravindra's killing and the move to dilute free power supply to agriculture sector in the Assembly "forcefully". He also cautioned the MLAs about their own security. The TDP has listed thirty issues to be raised in the House. The MLAs present were divided into ten groups to discuss the issues. They would make their presentations on the subjects allotted to them at the conclusion on Tuesday evening. The first day of the workshop received lukewarm response as nearly half of the MLAs were not present.
