LUCKNOW, FEB. 7. The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police today busted a fake currency racket and arrested two youths during a raid at Shahnazaf Road here. A large number of fake currency notes and printing equipment were recovered from the spot, SP STF Akhil Kumar told newspersons here. Mr. Kumar said on the basis of suspicious newspaper advertisements, an STF team raided the office of a travel agency and arrested one Kuljeet Singh while he was exchanging genuine currency notes for fake ones with a man. The official later said that Rajesh, an accomplice of Kuljeet, was also nabbed later. The accused admitted before the police that they were running the racket for the past six months and had already circulated fake currency worth Rs. 8 to 10 lakh in the market. --PTI
