By Our Special Correspondent
GULBARGA, FEB. 7. Vaijnath Patil, MLA of the Janata Dal (Secular), who has raised a banner of revolt against the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and H.D. Kumaraswamy, Working President of the State Janata Dal (S), said today that there is no truth in reports appearing in a section of the press that he will join the Congress or the Janata Dal (United). Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Patil said he will be with the Janata Dal (S) and fight against the forces that are out to destroy the secular image of the party.
`No response'
Mr. Patil, who was suspended from the party along with leaders such as Laxmisagar, Kodandaramaiah and A.K. Subbaiah some time ago, said they have replied to the show-cause notice reiterating the charges they have made against Mr. Deve Gowda and Mr. Kumaraswamy. "So far, we have not received any response from the party leadership," he added.
