M.K. Narayanan gets MoS status

NEW DELHI, FEB. 7. The National Security Adviser, M.K. Narayanan, has been given the status of Minister of State. An official announcement tonight said Mr. Narayanan's appointment as National Security Adviser had been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet with effect from January 27. During his tenure, he would have the status of Minister of State, it added. — PTI
