The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at Safdarjung on Monday were 21.9 and 13 degrees Celsius, while at Palam the temperatures stood at 21.2 and 14.1 degrees Celsius respectively. The Capital also recorded 6.3 mm of rain at Safdarjung and 7.1 mm at Palam. The maximum humidity recorded at Safdarjung and Palam was 91 and 95 per cent, while the minimum stood at 63 and 71 per cent respectively.
Arrested for issuing fake challans
The Special Cell received a complaint from the SMM, A.S. Awasthi, stating that an advocate, on behalf of his client, had produced before him the photocopy of an arrest warrant for a traffic violation with a forged signature. Investigations revealed that a resident of Uttam Nagar, Vinod, had gone to serve the warrant posing as a traffic police constable. Subsequently, he was arrested. At his instance, the police arrested a former traffic police home guard, Harbhajan Singh, on whose disclosure they arrested the `ahlmad' posted in the court of SMM Awasthi, as he had provided the warrant.
Run over
by tanker
According to the police, the incident occurred when Kirti Bansal, a third year B.Com student, was on her way home after attending her classes at Vivekanand Mahila College. Around 1-15 p.m., she was crossing the road at Vivek Vihar when the tanker hit her. She was rushed to a nearby hospital she doctors declared her dead.

A spokesperson of the Central Industrial Security Force said it was around 8-15 p.m. that a passenger of flight DN 603, Gopal Krishna Reddy, reached Terminal 1B and got the boarding card of the said flight from the check-in counter of Air Deccan and entered the security hold area. A little later, another passenger reached the same counter and also introduced himself as G.K. Reddy. However, he was shocked when the Air Deccan officials told him that they have already issued a boarding card to him. Subsequently, Mr Reddy approached the CISF in-charge at Terminal 1B and narrated the entire incident. Following investigations,`fake' G.K. Reddy was arrested
