Women's team for Australia
NEW DELHI,
FEB. 8.
Twenty-four women have been selected to train and take part in hockey competitions at the South Australian Sports Institute, Adelaide, from March 1 to April 7. Australian coach Bob Haigh will train the players, according to a press release from the Indian Women's Hockey Federation here on Tuesday.
The players: Goalkeepers: Helen Mary, Deepika Murthy and Marita Tirkey. Defenders: Nilima Kujur, Rajwinder Kaur, Suman Bala, Kanti Baa, Binita Toppo, Pushpa Pradhan, Masira Surin, Sumrai Tete, Asunta Lakra, Gagandeep Kaur and Gurpreet Kaur. Forwards: Jasjeet Kaur, Dipika, Amrita Ming, S. Ranjita, Sarita Lakra, Guddi Kumari, Adline Kerketta, Annarita Kerketta, Surinder Kaur and Mamta Kharab. Officials: M.K. Kaushik (National coach), Anurita Saini (Manager), Y. S. Chauhan (Assist. Coach) and Adithya Shetty (doctor).
