Shafie Khan dead

DHARWAD, FEB. 8. Shafie Khan, retired Professor of Botany, Karnatak University, died of cardiac arrest in the early hours of Tuesday. He was 62. He is survived by his wife and son.

Prof. Khan was associated with a number of cultural organisations in Dharwad. He was one of the founders of the Chitra Film Society and was associated with the construction of the Annajirao Sirur Auditorium, one of the finest of such genre in this part of the region.
