PONDICHERRY FEB. 8. The Pondicherry branch of the Bank of India plans to distribute loans to the villagers affected by the tsunami, under the Rajiv Gandhi Relief Package. The bank manager, D. Devadoss, told The Hindu here today that loans under its general schemes of Rs. 9.26 lakhs had been distributed to more than 150 families affected by the disaster. In addition, the bank would be distributing loans under the Rajiv Gandhi package.
