TUTICORIN, FEB. 8. The police on Sunday night arrested seven persons in connection with Friday's triple murder at Srivaikuntam. Three others are still at large. Addressing presspersons here today, K Gopalakrishnan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Tirunelveli Range), said Ramar, Muthuramalingam, Murugan, Kundu alias Kasi, Gopal Thevar, Mariappan and Mani were arrested near Vallavanad and four sickles recovered from them. A Srivaikuntam court today remanded them to judicial custody. Natarajan, Madaswamy, Malaiyandi were fatally attacked with country bombs and sickles in gang rivalry, he said. The bombs were made with explosives from a quarry owned by Gopal Thevar, who bore a grudge against Durairaj, one of the injured, the DIG said. We will take measures in consultation with the district administration to cancel the licence for the quarry, the DIG added
