DAVANGERE, FEB. 8. The police have arrested two persons, who were allegedly involved in manufacturing illicit liquor and seized illicit liquor worth Rs. 6 lakhs. The police said that the liquor was being manufactured by Srikanth Bagale (33) of Hubli and Shankar bagale (24) of Gadag at an aluminium factory on P.B. Road. The accused bottled and sold the liquor in the name of famous branded. The police said that primary investigation revealed that the owner of the aluminium factory, Satyanarayan Pisale, and three others were also involved in the racket.
Prostitution
The police arrested four persons, including two women, on charge of prostitution. The police recovered three mobile sets and Rs. 4,500 in cash from them. A case has been registered at the women's police station. The Jagalur police also arrested six persons, including three women, on charge of prostitution. The accused were produced before the court and have been remanded in judicial custody till February 19, the police said.
