KOCHI, FEB. 8. The Education Minister, E.T. Mohammed Basheer, will officially inaugurate the State convention of the Kerala Private College Teachers' Association (KPCTA) at Adhyapaka Bhavan here on February 12. The convention will begin on February 11 with a meeting of the working committee. The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate the valedictory meeting on February 13. The KPCC general secretary, Mullappally Ramachandran, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural function. K.V. Thomas and K. Babu, MLAs; K.P. Dhanapalan, DCC president; and Ahmed Kabir, district president, Indian Union Muslim League, will speak. The Fisheries and Sports Minister, Dominic Presentation, will inaugurate a mutual aid trust meeting at 12 noon on February 12. The mutual aid fund is to help families of those who die while in service.
