Illegal sand-mining: 35 lorries seized

PALAKKAD, FEB. 8. The anti-sand-mining squad headed by the Deputy Tahsildar, Ayappan, today seized 35 lorries from the river bed of Bharathapuzha, near Puthussery in Desamangalam panchayat.

These lorries were carrying sand from the Mithranandapuram temple area near Puthussery.

The seized vehicles were handed over to the police.
