By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 8.
The Congress Legislature Party on Tuesday decried the campaign of TDP leaders against tenders for Category-II works.
In a statement, the CLP secretaries -- E. Pratap Reddy, S. Gangaram and K. Surekha -- said unlike the previous TDP regime, the Congress Government had adopted the latest systems like e-procurement limited and e-procurement open and EPC (engineering, procurement and construction). These methods had worldwide acceptance and even the High Court had approved it. Moreover, the Chief Minister, Y.S.nRajasekhara Reddy, had categorically declared that no tender in excess of 5 per cent of the estimated rates.
The TDP leaders were talking of commissions because they were in the habit of seeking commissions for allocation of any work, they said refuting the TDP's charge that 5 per cent commission was being demanded now.
