THIRUVANANTHAPRUAM. Feb. 8. On the second day of the ongoing Eighth Vocational Higher Secondary School Youth Festival here today, Thrissur zone took the lead with 288 points when the results of 38 events were declared. Kollam zone was in the second slot with 271 points, while Vadakara zone stood third with 249 points. While the non-stage events of the festival commenced yesterday morning, the competitions requiring a stage, commenced last evening. The following are the first prize-winners in some of the competitions held on February 7 and 8: Bharathanatyam (female): E. Reshma Government VHSS, Kathiroor, Payyannur. Thiruvathira: A.S.
