KANCHEEPURAM, FEB. 8. Charge sheet copies will be served on all the accused in the Sankararaman murder case in the magistrate court-I here on February 10. The Kancheepuram judicial magistrate's court has summoned the Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, prime accused in the case of murder of the Varadarajaperumal temple manager, to appear on Thursday. The Sankara Mutt counsel, A. Shanmugham, said here today that summons was also served on two other accused, Senthilkumar and Arumugam, who were charged for arranging for fake surrenders. They were earlier enlarged on bail by the district sessions court. Remand extension for 22 other accused, lodged in the Chennai and Cuddalore Central prisons, was slated for Thursday. It would be convenient to get all of them together for completing the process of serving the charge sheet, said Mr. Shanmugham. The District Collector, R. Venkatesan, has endorsed the police proposal to detain one more accused in the murder case under the Goondas Act. The order was served on `Silver Star' alias Stalin, in the Chennai prison. The total number of accused in the murder case held under this Act has risen to 16. The principal district sessions judge, G.M. Akbar Ali, today dismissed Stalin's bail application for, he was detained under the Goondas Act, according to K. Arumugam, public prosecutor, Chengalpattu.
