Escaped convict arrested

CHENNAI,
FEB. 8.
Koyambedu police have re-arrested a convict who escaped while being taken to the court on Saturday night.
According to the police, Nithyanandam (33), gave the slip to the police while being taken to the Magistrate's court at Egmore last week.
He was arrested following a complaint from a hotel owner in Koyambedu that he took away money. Two police constables were suspended for letting him escape.
