THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 8. The councillor representing the Thampanoor ward in the City Corporation Council, Thampanoor Satheesh, has alleged that a move was on to demolish two temples and other buildings on the RMS-Thampanoor road to construct a shopping complex. In a pressnote issued here today, he said the Railways had issued eviction notice to the Sree Vigneswara Swamy Temple in front of the Central Station and the Sree Sidhivinayaka Temple near the RMS office. He said both the temple trusts had documents to prove ownership rights to the land on which the temples are located. Mr. Satheesh said a 101-member action council had been constituted to oppose the alleged move to demolish the temples and take over the land.
