VISAKHAPATNAM, FEB. 8. A research paper on detection of cutaneous anthrax among Girijans of the agency area has won Dr. B.B. Gokhale Medal. The paper was presented by K.V.T. Gopal of the Department of Dermatology, Andhra Medical College, at the 33rd national conference of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) and the fourth SAARC conference in New Delhi last week. According to the Head of the department, G. Raghu Rama Rao, this is the first time that a paper submitted from the State has won the prestigious medal.
