HYDERABAD, FEB.8. The High Court has stayed the one-time settlement scheme (OTS) framed by State Government for defaulters of Prudential Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd. The stay orders were issued by the Judge, C.Y. Somayajulu, while dealing with a writ petition filed by Suryaprakasha Rao, a shareholder of the Prudential bank. He complained that in the name of one time settlement scheme, the interest of depositors and shareholders was being defeated. He further contented that the Government and Registrar of Co-operative Society did not have the power to frame such a scheme. The case is posted to February 22 and the court directed the authorities to produce the relevant records.
