Ayurveda hospital to be shifted soon

HYDERABAD, FEB. 8. The Government Ayurveda Hospital will be shifted from the premises of the Nizamia Tibbi Hospital at Charminar soon.

About 40 beds will be shifted to Ayurveda Hospital at Erragadda by February 14 and the remaining beds by February 21.

This assurance was given by C.B.S. Venkatramana, the In-charge Principal Secretary, Health, to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Committee on Welfare of Minorities on Monday. The committee held a meeting to discuss the problems faced by the Unani hospital. The meeting was attended by Syed Ahmadullah, Akbaruddin Owaisi, Syed Ahmed Pasha Qadri, M.A. Gafoor (MLAs). Later the committee members went to Nizamia Tibbi Hospital where the Unani students are on relay hunger strike and conveyed the Government's decision.

Meanwhile, the Unani students, whose relay hunger strike entered the 58th day on Monday, decided not to call off their stir until the orders on shifting of the Ayurveda Hospital are implemented.
