HYDERABAD, FEB. 8. Aalapana, a cultural organisation, in association with the Department of Culture, is conducting a 12-hour non-stop musical programme to pay tributes to the legendary singer, Ghantasala, on his 31st death anniversary on February 11. The programme to be held at Ravindra Bharathi will start at 7.30 a.m. and continue till 7.30 p.m. with prominent singers from various parts of the State presenting the hits of the late singer. The singers who would render songs at the programme in Hyderabad include Sharada Reddy, Amalapuram Kanna Rao, T. Harischandra, P.V. Ramana (Kakinada), Paturi Srinivasa Rao (Nellore), B.C. Krishna (Kurnool), Revathi Ramakumar (Eluru), Kalyani Vasanth (Rajahmundry), Kala Krishna (Vijayanagaram), Kamala (Hyderabad) and Sunita Balaji (Hyderabad). Akkineni Nageshwara Rao would be the chief guest.
