BANGALORE, FEB. 8. The Bangalore-based Agni Aviation has unveiled an all-metal two-seater aircraft that uses petrol as primary fuel. According to a press release from Agni Aviation, the Zenair 601 is capable of flying up to a speed of 200 kilometres per hour using 12 litres of petrol. The aircraft engine can also be run on aviation fuel (avgas).
Flight trial
The aircraft has completed extensive flight trials in the country with the first production aircraft having flown from Bangalore to Rajasthan and back without any hitch, the release has said. The aircraft is meant for private ownership. The aircraft will be on display at the Jakkur airport during the Aero India 2005.
