Double murder case solved

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, FEB.8. Two persons have been arrested by the South Delhi police for allegedly killing two of their acquaintances at Jafarpur Kalan and dumping the bodies in Haryana last month.

While the bodies have been recovered, the police have launched a hunt for other accused in the case.

On January 30, the police received a complaint from Jai Prakash alleging that his brother, Jai Om, and his friend, Baldan, had been kidnapped by Sher Singh and Shish Pal, both residents of Issapur village. Investigations revealed that the day the duo went missing, they had gone to consume liquor at the residence of Rati Ram in Dhansa village, along with Sher Singh and Shish Pal.

During the drinking session, they started fighting over some issue following which the accused overpowered Jai Om and Baldan and forced them into a Maruti car and after killing them on the way, dumped the bodies at Sampla in Haryana.

Acting on the evidence gathered so far, the police arrested Sher Singh and Shish Pal. It came to light that Sher Singh has been involved in bootlegging cases.

The police said the accused have disclosed the names of other persons involved in the murders and raids were being mounted to arrest them.
