CHENNAI, FEB. 9. The Bharti Group has gone in for a major overhaul of its management structure in mobility business. The ostensible objective of this move is to take the process of institutionalisation forward and bring the organisation closer to clients. The new structure, it is explained, will result in further delegation of the operational role from the corporate office to mobility office/hubs. Under the new structure, the corporate office will focus on strategy, leadership development, architecture and governance. The empowered regional hubs, on the other hand, will be responsible for overall business performance and deployment of strategies locally. The mobility board is headed by Manoj Kohli. The head of four regional hubs will form part of the mobility board. It will also comprise the Chief Marketing Officer and Director, the Chief Technical Officer and the Director Planning and Special Projects. The board will have three special invitees as well. The overhaul of the mobility business, it is said, will improve operational efficiency.
