The four-day State HSS Youth Festival began on February 6 with contests in non-stage items. The contests were held on more than 13 stages.

The stage at the Model Government Higher Secondary School was the main venue. The other stages were at two venues at the Government College of Teacher Training, Town Hall, Nalanda Auditorium, and BEM Girls HSS.

With the commencement of stage items, the last three days had witnessed hectic activity. It had turned out to be a feast of dance and music, of swift movements, beat of drums and mellifluous tunes that continued late into the evenings.

The dance items especially Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Oppana and Keralanadanam had attracted large crowds.
