They call this celebrating `bus day'

CHENNAI, FEB. 9. Students of Government College of Arts, Nandanam, celebrated "bus day'', by hitching a ride atop a Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus on Anna Salai on Wednesday. Students climbed on top of the bus (route 23 C), with some of them hanging from windows as the vehicle cruised through the midday traffic, trailed by students walking in a procession from Teynampet to Nandanam.
