COIMBATORE, FEB. 9. The District Collector, S. Kosalaraman, has said that 1,400 designated centres have been set up in the district with two officials in each centre for receiving the application forms for the renewal of family cards. Application forms for renewal of the cards would be available at the respective public distribution outlets till February 27. The personnel at the counters for receiving the application forms are being given training to check the forms fro their accuracy. The cardholders could hand over the forms at the designated centres on February 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27. The cardholders could approach the respective outlets or the taluk supply office concerned to know about the centre where they should submit the application forms. Even those who had failed to renew their cards during the extended period of validity could get their cards renewed now. The cardholders who had failed to renew their cards by availing inner-sheets could approach the concerned supply office fore the same. They should submit their filled-in application form only at the respective supply office and not at the designated centres.
