Around the City

No change in temperature

The minimum temperature is likely to be around 16 degree Celsius on Thursday and the sky will be mainly clear. On Wednesday the maximum temperature was 31.2 degree Celsius, minimum 17.8 degree Celsius and relative humidity 27 per cent.

Probe into custodial death

A magisterial enquiry into the custodial death of Mohd. Fayaz will be conducted on February 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fayaz died on July 12, 1999, at TB Hospital. Blood relatives, friends and the general public who are aware of the incident may depose their evidence during the course of enquiry which will be held in the office of Hyderabad Collectorate.

Workshop on pronunciation

`Overseas

bio-data drive'

K. Om Prakash, CEO of Seatco International Recruitment, has said that an `Overseas bio-data drive' that aims at removing middlemen and helping professionals and skilled workers to legally migrate to other countries for jobs will be organised at Sudershan Hotel, Narayanguda, on February 12 and 13. Bank scheme for women

Andhra Bank here on Wednesday launched `AB Vanita Vahan,' a loan product designed to enable women to purchase cars/two-wheelers. The bank CMD, T.S. Narayanasami, launched the product while film actress, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, handed over keys of cars to some beneficiaries. R. Balakrishnan, executive director, said the loan was offered with a reduction in interest rate by 0.5 per cent. A further 0.5 per cent reduction was offered on prompt repayment.
