CUDDAPAH, FEB. 10. The Cuddapah ZP Chairman, K. Suresh Babu, on Thursday announced sanction of Rs. 10 lakhs to Navjeevan Niwas Orphanage here for constructing its own building. Addressing a meeting in the orphanage and destitute old age home, he lauded its president, V. Swarnalatha, for running the orphanage since four years and providing medicare to the inmates. He advised richer sections to contribute their might for setting up a beggar home. Kasireddy Srinivasulu Reddy, who compiled a book, `Amrutha Varshini', and donated 20 per cent of the sale proceeds towards purchase of clothes to aged destitutes and orphans in the home. The ZP chief gave away the clothes on his behalf. Mr. Srinivasulu Reddy said the book dealt with human values, spiritual thinking and basic problems in society. Ms. Swarnalatha said she was running the home with the help of some friends in the US, without any Governmental assistance. The C.P. Brown Library Secretary, J. Hanumath Sastry, publisher, Venkatarami Reddy, Executive Engineer of ZP, Dastagiri, J. Ramaswamy and P. Padmavathi, also took part.
