PATHANAMTHITTA, FEB. 10. The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, has directed the Public Works Department to conduct a feasibility study on the proposed Achenkoil-Thannithode-Konni-Pampa road in a time-bound manner. The Chief Minister was responding to the memorandum submitted by the local MLA and the Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Adoor Prakash, while addressing a public meeting at Kokkathode near Koni after laying the stone for the proposed Kokkathode bridge across the river Achenkoil. Mr. Chandy said that the Government has already accorded administrative sanction for new road projects estimated at Rs. 250 crores in the State. The bridge is being funded by Nabard. The Public Works Minister, M. K. Muneer, presided over the meeting.
