ISLAMABAD, FEB. 10. The chances of the Pakistan cricket team playing either a Test or a one-day match in Ahmedabad reduced further today, with the Foreign Ministry here saying that its security concerns over the venue still remained. "Our security concern about Ahmedabad remains and there is no change in our perception," the Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman, Masood Khan said. His comment follows talks between the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Shahryar Khan, and the Foreign Office officials. The officials refused to come out with details of the meeting but categorically stated that Mr. Shahryar Khan did not call on the Foreign Minister, Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri. "He visited [the] Foreign Ministry to seek their advice on the venues for the coming tour of India. He proposed that if they (the Foreign Ministry) permit, he would handle the issue of finalisation of venues," they said. PTI, AFP
