SANGAREDDY, FEB. 10. The Food assurance scheme with a human face has been implemented in 317 villages in Medak district from Wednesday and the number could go up by another 200 villages by the end of this month. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the district Collector, Anil Kumar Singhal, explained that with only 30 per cent of the workload, a family with a food security card could get 50kg rice and Rs. 100 in cash every month for four months. In all 14,400 families would benefit.
