Nalgonda
By Our Staff Reporter
NALGONDA, FEB.10. As many as 17,707 General Provident Fund accounts of the Nalgonda Zilla Parishad have been linked to the Government website making it possible for employees to know the details of their accounts at any call centre. The ZP chairperson, Keeta Laxmamma, who linked the accounts to the NIC website at a function at her office here on Thursday, said Nalgonda Zilla Parishad was the first to do so. The accounts that were recorded till March 31, 2004 had been computerised. The Superintendent (GPF), B.Bhupathi Reddy, said that now account holders, mainly teachers, need not come to the ZP office to take the account slips. "Make use of call centres to know the details of your accounts,'' he said. It took five months for the ZP to computerise the accounts. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Dasaiah, and the DIC officer, Arif, also took part in the programme, according to a press release.
