Around the City

Clear sky forecast

The forecast for Friday is that the sky will be mainly clear. The minimum temperature will be around 15 degrees Celsius.

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 15.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The relative humidity was 30 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 29.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 15.2 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 25 per cent.

Trekking

A trekking camp to Makalidurga has been organised by Nature Admire on February 12 and 13. A two-day trekking camp has also been organised at Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary and Kodaikanal on the same dates. Interested persons can call 51280989/98450 79414 for more details.

Programme

The Small Industries Service Institute under the Ministry of Industries will conduct AUTOCAD- 2004 training programme from February 14. Workshop

Contest

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, is organising a drawing competition "Rang" for underprivileged children from government and corporation schools in and around Jayanagar on February 12.

The aim of the competition is to bring out and showcase the talent of these children. The contest will be held at the Rotary Community Hall in Jayanagar 4th T Block. Around 100 students are expected to participate in the event.

Training

The Department of Horticulture will conduct training programmes for women on processing and preservation of tomatoes on Friday, on February 15, and on February 18.
