P. Fakir Khan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 10. The CPI(M) leader and freedom fighter P. Fakir Khan passed away here today. He was 90. Mr. Khan had played a key role in building up the Communist movement in erstwhile Travancore. He was jailed during the Punnapra-Vayalar agitation and the India-China war in 1964. Mr. Khan was a member of the CPI(M) district committee and had served as board chairman of the Thiruvananthapuram Spinning Mill and as Neyyattinkara taluk handloom workers' union president. He is survived by his wife and three sons. The body will be laid to rest at the Balaramapuram Juma Masjid on Friday.
