Cuddalore
By Our Special Correspondent
CUDDALORE, FEB. 11. Sekar (42), a farmer at Pallapattu near Kadampuliyur, reportedly ended his life by consuming pesticide on Thursday as he could not repay the interest on loan. He was admitted in a critical condition to the Cuddalore Government Hospital, where he died today. It is learnt that Sekar had borrowed money from a person at Edayarkuppam, and though he repaid the principal amount, he could not clear the interest. The lender was said to have abused Sekar for the delay, and in a dejected mood, the latter consumed pesticide. On the complaint of Sekar's wife, Rani, police have booked a case.
