CHENNAI, FEB. 11. The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president, G.K. Vasan, has appealed to the Delimitation Commission to make it clear to voters on what basis the commission is going to redraw the new Assembly constituencies. In the absence of any report from the commission, the voters were confused, as maps of re-delimitated Assembly constituencies had been displayed in all taluk offices in the State. Though the Chief Minister had denied that the Government was not connected with the delimitation process, the "new constituency maps" were prepared by the Government officials only, said Mr.Vasan in a statement here today. Already voters in some parts of the State resorted to dharnas against the new delimitation. It was high time that the Commission came out with a clear announcement on the present state of affairs to dispel the doubts in the minds of voters, he added.
