HPS defeats KV Uppal (No I)
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 12.
Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, defeated Kendriya Vidyalaya Uppal (No I) 3-2 in the semifinals of the inter-school hockey tournament here on Saturday.
KV led 2-0 at the break thanks to goals by centre half M. Dinesh Reddy. But in the second half HPS hit back with inside right B. Motilal and outside right D. Bhadru Naik (2) scoring.
In the other semifinal Vignan Prabhodananda Prasanti Nikletan Ghatkesar defeated KV Uppal (No II) 5-1. For Vignans PPN inside right B. Peter, centre forward E. Vivek, outside left Amanulla Malik and inside left P. Santosh (2) were the scorers. For the loser Nasser Hussain scored.
